I have a severe case of wanderlust, a forever hungry stomach, and a taste for wine and gin. Welcome to my corner of the internet where I share my stories with the world, in 1,500 words or more at a time (don’t say I didn’t warn you!)
In 2005 I left my hometown in Australia in search of adventures and new experiences, and in 2022 I call Seville in Spain my home. During the last 18 years, I’ve lived life in London, backpacked through Asia and India, explored the European continent, and I’ve travelled to wherever else I’ve had the opportunity to travel in the world.
I’ve lived in Italy, worked for years as a tour guide in Italy, Spain, Portugal & France, explored almost every region in Spain, and finally decided to call sunny Seville in Spain my home, where I am lucky enough to combine all my passions into one with my work at Devour Tours. I’ve shown hungry travellers the traditional foods of Seville and shared the stories behind them, as well as played a huge part in creating dozens of other delicious food tours across Spain, Europe and beyond – all while exploring everything that Seville and the rest of Andalucía and Spain has to offer.
About The Road Less Forked
The Road Less Forked was started in 2014 when I realised that it was okay to share with the world that travelling, to me, was about trying all the delicious local foods and appreciating the local culture through local ingredients, dishes and drinks, and trying to find out as much as possible about the stories behind them.
I was tired of the notion that great food was exclusively linked to Michelin starred restaurants and gourmet dishes, and wanted to prove otherwise. Now my blog is the very unchronological recount of me eating my way around Spain and wherever else my travels take me, learning along the way about the local culture and anything else I please through food.
If you want you can say hello! Just drop me a line at cyra@theroadlessforked.com or via the contact form, otherwise, say hola on Facebook or Instagram.
